Ed’s journey spans 41 years in the automotive industry, a career marked by charisma, consistency, and a long list of accolades.

"In 2006, I was Salesperson of the Month for 12 months straight at what was then the number one Ford dealership in the country," he says. "That’s the level I expect of myself."

Before settling into the new Morningside dealership, Ed spent years at Downtown Toyota’s former Tingalpa site, an experience he credits with shaping his mindset and deepening his appreciation for strong culture and leadership.

"We endured a lot, but it made us better. It made me value Downtown Toyota more."

A Relentless Drive to Be the Best

"I’ll never settle for second. My motivation? Always being the best. And being a role model for others."

For Ed, success isn’t about chasing numbers. It’s about people, finding the right car, guiding each customer through the process with honesty and care, and making it feel personal every step of the way.

"I try to eliminate all issues before they happen. Make sure the car is advertised properly, clean, priced right. Be honest. If you do it right from the start, there are no problems later." This proactive mindset keeps him performing at a high level and helps lift those around him too.

When asked what advice he gives to newcomers, Ed doesn’t hesitate.

"Be a good listener. Be polite. Present yourself well. Stay human. And remember, this isn’t just a transaction. It’s an experience."

His secret sauce is simple: communication.

"Identify the real needs and treat people like people. That’s it."

Life Beyond the Lot

Outside of work, Ed is happiest enjoying the simple things, gardening, watching NFL, cooking, and spending time with his family.

"I’ve got the best life. I’m stable, content, and grateful for what I’ve been given."

Retirement might be on the distant horizon, but Ed’s focus remains clear.

"My goal now is to leave the best impression I can before I finish my career."
